SONG LYRICS

Don’t Cry Anymore

Verse 1
You gave it all to see that I’d shine
Should have been there for you, more of the time
You were the best thing that happened to me
You gave me everything, you gave me my wings

Chorus
Don’t cry anymore
You tried, you tried and you struggled
Just open the door
No pain, no pain, no more trouble

Verse 2
Now you are going somewhere that is kind
You need a long rest baby, we’ll be just fine
You gave it all but you were just spent
Didn’t you know my darling, you were heaven sent?

Chorus
Don’t cry anymore
You tried, you tried and you struggled
Just open the door
No pain, no pain, no more trouble

End
Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry
Don’t cry, don’t cry my love

I want you back but I know you’re in a better place
Oh baby, now I’m the one who’s crying
I long, I long, I long to see your face
You saved me, now I’m the one that’s sighing

Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea, yea baby, yea, yea, yea
Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea, yea baby, yea, yea, yea
Oh yea

DESCRIPTION
This is a song I wrote about my Mom who passed away 5 years ago. She was a wonderful friend and always believed in me. She gave her all for her children. Writing this song really helped me deal with my grief after she died and express my love for her Tom Pino of Nashville, Tennessee performed the vocals and guitar on this song. He did a great job! I'd also like to mention Songtown, a group out of Nashville that I belong to that helps songwriters write better songs and really encourages them.
