Epilogue

SONG LYRICS

Maybe this isn’t coming back
we’ve just been running way too fast.
Maybe this wasn’t made to last
We’ve just been dancing round the past.

Maybe this wasn’t what we wanted,
But a beautiful tragedy is a better story.
Maybe we just weren’t built to last.

Falling to pieces,
falling on ashes
there from the fires we’d start.
And now we’re falling,
falling to pieces,
running in circles,
trapped in the flames won’t let us go.

Maybe we just fell too fast.
Maybe we just weren’t built to last.

Falling to pieces,
running in circles,
trapped in the flames won’t let us go.

And maybe we weren’t built to last,
or maybe we just fell too fast.
Maybe we built our own flames,
maybe it’s just us to blame.

Falling to pieces,
falling on ashes
there from the fires we’d start.
And now we’re falling,
falling to pieces,
running in circles,
trapped in the flames won’t let us go.

Maybe this isn’t coming back
we’ve just been running way too fast.
Maybe this wasn’t made to last
We’ve just been dancing round the past.

Maybe this wasn’t what we wanted,
But a beautiful tragedy is a better story.

DESCRIPTION
'Epilogue' is the second single my duo, Noetic, consisting of me (Iseult - vocals), and Aryan Nandha (producer). The song was heavily inspired by Robert Frost's poem 'Fire and Ice,' and was written as an antithesis, or epilogue, to our last song.
