SONG LYRICS

La da da, la da da da lad dada, la da da da da da da, la da da da da.
Yesterday, seems a million miles away,
Since I saw your pretty face, lighting up my day.
Years ago, moments that I miss the most,
Never want to let em go, so this is what I say,

Oh
So I say, oh what can I say, all these years drift away,
Wish we could go back to yesterday, yesterday.

Full of hope, knowing you’re not coming home no more,
You’re in my heart forever and ever.
Why did you have to go, why did you have to leave without me,
You’re in my heart, you’re in my soul,
I’m never gonna let you go, ooh,

So I say, oh what can I say, all these years drift away,
Wish we could go back to yesterday, yesterday.

I never thought I would make it through,
Seeing me without you,
And my hearts breaking into two,

Yesterday, seems a million miles away,
Since I saw your pretty face, lighting up my world,

So I say, oh what can I say,
All these years drift away,
Wish we could go back to yesterday, yesterday,

Ooh yesterday, ooh yesterday, ooh yesterday yesterday yesterday, ooh yesterday, wish we could go back to yesterday.

DESCRIPTION
This song relates to things and people that we have had and lost and wishing we could have or see again. This is actually about my Nan, who sadly passed away very quickly and I wrote it for my mum and it helped me to grieve too. I found it hard to show my emotions and this song helped that. This was written about 10 months ago and I haven’t recorded it since this first time. I had only just learnt how to ply guitar too and if I recorded it again I think it would sound better but I wanted to show you the first version
