This is a (True Story) love song. I wrote it during an social media interaction with a girl that I knew nothing about, but wanted to know everything about. This engagement later ended up with an in-person date where we shared our life stories & discussed our faith in Jesus Christ!
– I wrote & produced everything myself. I had a very talented guitarist come into the studio & mess around on the record. I ended up keeping & mixing some of those samples for this highly energetic track!
As a songwriter, inspiration comes from everywhere. But for me, family has consistently been one of the main inspirations in my writing.
Throughout my childhood and through my early teen years I was fortunate to know my great-grandparents. They lived in Idaho so we didn’t see them often, but we always made sure to visit them as often as we could.
When I was 16-years-old, we made a stop to visit with my darling great-grandma, Lila. My great-grandpa had passed a few years prior, so it was just her there. While visiting with her, we asked her if she would tell us the story of how they met (which we got on video!). She told this darling story of how they met at a church dance and he asked her to dance with him. At the end of her story, in the cutest little voice, she said, “All it took was a dance to know that I liked him and I wanted to dance with him the rest of my life.”
As she said that my heart completely melted. As a fresh songwriter, I knew I wanted honor them and write a song about their love story someday.
My great-grandma Lila had red hair, the same color as mine. So as I went to write this song, I felt impressed to write the song in her perspective. During the writing process I felt them close and as I finished the song I immediately was overcome with emotion and a feeling that they approved of their song. It was so sacred and so special!
So “Forever With You” is their story, in a song <3
I love my great-grandparents and am so thankful to have known them. I'm thankful for their example of eternal love that helped me when I was searching for my eternal companion. Most importantly, I'm so thankful family is forever. <3
Thank you for your consideration.
My song is a story about 2 lovers who seek an escape/refuge in space among the stars to leave behind earth since everyone relates to each other only through loneliness. So they want to explore the universe and not have a sad life.
Downwards Spiral is a Covid-19 ISO home studio production that takes you on a dark and disturbing journey into the mind of a narcissist, someone that only looks out for number one and wonders why things fall to sh*t all the time?
Be warned while you hear the story of a hapless first-class A-hole!
…But the funky riff should make it all better!
Play it loud…Enjoy!
This is a song about a relationship where one person is always away and the other longs for them. The whistle connects them both together and reminds them of each other no matter where they are. I made the main instrumentation and lyrics and worked alongside another friend for the beat.

Life is full of twists and turns, but we don’t have to navigate them on our own.
This was written and recorded at my apartment. All sounds were vocally produced. Me (Zuriel Rubio) sang all the parts. All the notes are natural.
A song describing how a sunset connects the singer to his past friends and distant relatives.
This song is about a family that has to come together to overcome the struggles of corona virus, like being laid off and having their community struggle to get by. This song was recorded in my basement with my computer and the midi keyboard that I bought. All of the instruments (bass, drums, piano) were recorded on the midi keyboard. This is the second song that I’ve recorded by myself and I’m really proud of the way it turned out! thanks for listening in, and all the best!
