Space Dog

SONG LYRICS

How to look lonely
Orbiting slowly
Space dog alive

Out of the darkness
Earth looming lovely
Blue sea, Brown eyes

Can’t touch it, can’t be broken
Shallow fears of man’s design
Uplifted by heart emotion
Crowds silent, at the sky
All mouths and eyes…

How to look lonely
Orbiting slowly
Space dog alive

Out of the darkness
Earth looming lovely
Blue sea, Brown eyes

All the trouble that you made
Bathed in multi-coloured light
Button pressed and buttons wait alone
For their own sweet time

How to look lonely
Orbiting slowly
Space dog alive

Out of the darkness
Earth looming lovely
Blue sea, Brown eyes

DESCRIPTION
My connection with my dog and my planet are two deep loves in my life. I explore these deep connections from the quirky angle of a dog orbiting Earth on a mission that has gone awry. He can see Earth and we can see him. But alas he orbits alone longing for a return to the connections that sustain him. Sometimes we don't fully appreciate what we have until it is taken from us. This piece is entirely my work. Thanks for this opportunity.
