Spare Change

SONG LYRICS

spare change

I met a man out on the street
he looked me in the eye
said “ mister could you spare some change?”
I gave him just what I could, but it wasn’t all that much
left me thinking “man we could all use some change”

oh oh oh oh we could all use a change
said oh oh oh we could all use a change

turned on the T.V. a thousand people in the streets
marching in protest, all standing as one
no matter just what they say, I know we’re all to blame
in the end I know we’re all the same

oh oh oh oh we could all use some change
said oh oh oh we could all use a change

we can turn the page
be part of the change
that we want to see
heart & mind set free
one world free of chains

so much now that we have seen
getting harder to deny
in this together
reaching for the sky

despite all of our best intent
it comes before the fall
it don’t mean nothin’
if we can’t find our way back to love

oh oh oh we could all use a change
oh oh oh cause love will find a way
oh oh oh we could all use a change
oh oh oh & love will find a way….

DESCRIPTION
This song is inspired by the protests for social justice, homelessness & our struggle for meaningful change. I wrote, performed, & recorded this song in my home studio. I record my music under the name Little World.
