Help me fold this map of the roads I’ve taken.
A telling hourglass, never mistaken.
A timeline has passed, a plot run its course.
Closed is this storybook, calm is the quartz.

We live, then we leave – the prints left by our feet.

Will you do me the highest honor?
Will you answer my last call, walk me to the door?
Remember me, as a friend or a father
And cherish it all: the afters, the befores.

We shared loving words, and friendly fire phrases
We solved the puzzles, and escaped the mazes.
Engage if we can, in terminal moments
In slowing whispers, to one voice alone.

We live, then we leave – the echoes of our dreams.

Will you do me the highest honor?
Will you answer my last call, walk me to the door?
Remember me as a friend or a father
Re-tell it all: the afters, the befores.

The dreams I leave
These memories
I hold you high
So you can release, me.

Will you do me the highest honor?
Will you answer my last call, walk me to the door?
Remember me as a friend or a father
Remember it all: the afters, the befores.
